Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 1, 2024
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Asue Circle platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the platform. Our services facilitate community-based rotating savings and credit associations (ROSCA).
2. Account Registration & Verification
To maintain a high-trust environment, all users must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete legal information.
- Submit to identity verification, which may include government ID and face photo verification.
- Maintain the security of their account credentials.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
3. Circle Participation
Participation in a savings circle involves a commitment to regular financial contributions. Members agree to:
- Make contributions in the full amount and on the schedule defined by the circle.
- Understand that payouts are distributed according to a rotation schedule.
- Acknowledge that failure to make contributions may result in removal from the circle and potential platform suspension.
4. Administrator Responsibilities
Administrators who create and manage circles are subject to additional terms:
- Administrators must pay a platform subscription fee as defined during the onboarding process.
- Administrators are responsible for marking member payments accurately and managing the circle cycle progression.
- Administrators act as trusted fiduciaries for their respective circles.
5. Fees and Payments
Subscription fees for administrators are non-refundable and are used to maintain platform security and insurance coverage. Asue Circle does not directly hold member contribution funds; we provide the ledger and management tools for your community.
6. Prohibited Activities
Users are prohibited from using the platform for any illegal activities, including but not limited to money laundering, fraud, or the creation of unauthorized "ponzi" style schemes. Any suspicious activity will be reported to relevant authorities.
7. Late Payment Policy
Asue Circle relies on mutual trust and punctuality. Contributions must be made by the due date specified for each cycle.
- Grace Period: Circles do not have a default grace period unless explicitly stated by the Circle Administrator.
- Late Status: Payments received after the due date will be marked as "Late" in the circle ledger.
- Consequences: Repeated late payments may lead to:
- Reordering of the payout rotation to move the delinquent member to the final position.
- Suspension of the member's ability to join future circles.
- Removal from the current circle with loss of administrative protection.
